A Tribute To Dad
If you'd live to breathe the air today,
You would've reached 55 years young on this Earth,
I was born to you when you were 39,
And how fast, the 11 valuable years I knew you passed,
Full of bliss, full of tears of joy,
How grateful I am that God gave such a father, to this foolish boy,
Never have I doubted that your love for us was immortalized,
By the love you gave us, and the things you brought into our lives,
To say you merely loved us because it was your responsibility is a lie,
It was out of your heart that you took care of us, not just as an alibi,
Now you sing, dance and EAT inside The Golden Gates of Paradise,
With all that, I'm sure you're still watching over us, time after time,
Though physically you are not here with us, it does not matter,
Constantly you visit the family in our slumber,
Now reader, fear not of the last statement as it is not as scary as it seems,
Cause my Dad does not mean any harm, and only brings smiles and warmth to our hearts in our dreams,
So, a "Happy Birthday" medley is in order for the man who is, and always will be,
My father, my hero, he who is watching over me,
As the world dies a little day by day,
And worries in my mind cause mental decay,
The thought of seeing you again, will be the day all Man,
Shall be happy again.
My only regret is not telling you how much I love you Dad,
But I'm sure you already know, and that makes me kinda glad,
If only you were here, we would have a feast and we'd tear up a big bash,
But I know, you love us, and you're partying up there, alongside Johnny Cash.
From All Of Us
Happy Birthday, Dad

my condolences friend.
i remember your father as this warm, jolly and hearty man when i attended your birthday party many years ago when we were around 6-7 years old
Thanks friend. He was, indeed a simple man, who loved his family. God bless you Dad, and you too, friend. =)
