Stop the Jokes, Start the Support

First off, this place is pronounced "mum-bye", and is in India. Yeah, the country which has made curry a spicy symbol in our world.

I just realized that the Indians, not only in India, but throughout the world, have to go through countless jokes about the way they talk or how they live their lives. And the fact that, even though India is considered to be one of the two major rising economies in the world, it has among the highest population in the world today. To know that there are still people that need not only financial help, but a growing demand for basic supplies, such as clean water, that does suck.

And what has been going on in Mumbai City, India's New York City, well, let's just say it doesn't make anything easier for them.

Just within yesterday, the 26th of November 2008, 10 simultaneous terrorist attacks happened in Mumbai. The places of attacks ranged from hotels to train stations, but the media has currently focused all eyes on a hotel in Mumbai's district called, Taj Mahal Hotel.

Apparently, a group of terrorists have taken over the hotel, and a record of 107 people have been killed, with 300 plus more injured.

As I was watching all this on CNN, I couldn't help but wonder, what the world was turning into? i couldn't bare the thought that these people had no idea what was coming. Seeing it's a hotel, it's only evident that the victims are tourists, mainly from the ang-mo countries. I mean, they did not anticipate something like this to go down, let alone have to see bloodshed on what was suppose to be a business trip or even a holiday for them.
A train station in Mumbai, blood on the floor.
The saddest part is knowing that out of the 107 people estimated to have been killed, 95 of them were Indians. These group of people managed to work hard, and get jobs with solid income, and, the next minute, they get a bullet. And it's only ESTIMATED so far. But by the looks of the footage that CNN managed to obtained from the hotel scene, it seems like there's only more bad news to come.

I also realized another thing. This is their life. India has gone through a lot. And with that, it's people have gone through a lot as well. So from now on, I'm never gonna make another joke on Indian and other race's respective lifestyles and what not. It's not like it's gonna make it any easier for them to deal with their lives when all this is happening.

I seriously hope whoever you are, wherever you are, you understand what I have just come to realise too, and STOP THE JOKES and START THE SUPPORT.

It's the one thing they need which we all can give without them having to wait, a'ite?

Despite everything
Kinda makes me feel appreciative for what I have.

She may not be the best,
